The European Institute's principal, Eugene Grey DipPR FPRII FEIC FIIC MCERP MCIPR MIITD MIDI, is a  Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, a member of the European Confederation of Public Relations Practitioners, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK), the Irish Institute of Communications, the European Institute of Communications, the Irish Institute of Training and Development. and a founder member of the International body , the Association of Event Management Educators. He is also a former Director, Company Secretary and Education Chairperson of the Public Relations Institute in Ireland. He was made a fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland in January 2007.

A graduate of NUI Maynooth he is also a graduate from the Public Relations Institute of Ireland. As a PR consultant by profession, he directs a national industry award winning public relations consultancy, which has won the coveted PRCA PRII IPR top Irish financial public relations consultancy award.

Eugene Grey and his fellow director, Aine Grey, have two decades of training experience throughout the financial, charity, educational and corporate sectors. The current objective of the European Institute of Communications is to provide enhanced academic professional standards for the private individual and corporate sector. The Institute offers a number of varied and diverse range of courses throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe in addition to their extensive long distance training programmes. The European Institute of Communications has a sister organisation, the European Business College based in Birmingham in the UK.

The European Institute of Communications has developed an E-learning division to provide various learning platforms for international markets. Commenting on the need for educational development Eugene Grey said recently: "Ireland has become an international hub for E-learning. Our aim is to meet the changes in world educational requirments and bring to it specialised communications programmes that will meet and satisfy these merging global corporate markets. We intend to use the skills developed throughout the various European technological strata in order to create a deliverable educational platform".
