COURSE CONTENT The course is designed to introduce students to the basic elements of Journalism due to the modular course structure, Certificate students can continue with the course to complete their Diploma in Journalism with PR. JOURNALISM:
The history of journalism, how newsrooms work, Role of the Reporter and established news values, news writing basics.
PUBLIC RELATIONS:
Definition of PR. PR’s role in the organisation: Six point planning - situation analysis/research, objective setting, target publics, techniques, budgets, evaluation. The basic tools and techniques available to PR professionals. Uncontrolled media, i.e. publicity in terms of print, photography, broadcast and internet.

Upon receipt of your application form and receipt of acceptance you will be required to submit a non-refundable deposit of €295.00 which will be deducted from your overall fee. Balance of all course fees must be paid one calendar month prior to the course commencement.
