Never miss a lecture. As our lectures are broadcast live over the internet to students studying PR across Europe, should you miss a lecture due to work or personal commitments, you can download the lecture at a later date that suits you. The Long distance programme follows the schedule of the PRII part time programme. Lectures are broadcast live over the internet (all you need is a PC with webcam and speakers) and supported by regular Tutorials held every 5/6 weeks (normally at weekends in Dublin). In the event that you can't log on due to work or personal commitments you can download the lecture at a time that suits you. Introduction The European Institute of Communications is a recognised academic body, approved by the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, to teach and train candidates who wish to enter or who are working in the professional arena of Public Relations.
The final goal of the course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills which will enhance their prospects for employment or continuing professional development.

Course Fees - total amount to €1900 as follows: Academic fees amount to €1350 (excludes mandatory PRII examination and student membership subscriptions as set out by the Public Relations Institute of Ireland). Course fee payment schedule:
- A non-refundable deposit of €295 (deducted from overall fee) to be paid immediately upon offer of placement
- The balance of course fees, €1055, to be paid in full 1 calendar month before course commencement.
- PRII examination fees and student membership subscription, collected by the European Institute of Communications on behalf of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, amount to €425 and €125 respectively, must be paid one week prior to the first day of the course.
- Course includes an optional Diploma in Event Management accredited by the Public Relations Institute of Ireland. Event Management option examination fees amount to €425.

Who Should Attend and Course Choices Candidates suited to this course will have an interest in public relations and communications. They will want to work in an environment that requires public relations skills or will wish to enhance their existing academic qualifications that is officially recognised within Irish, European and international business.
Applicants are welcome to apply to attend the course programme as follows:
- Post Graduate Level - candidates must have, as a minimum, a primary degree.
- Diploma Level - candidates must have passed their leaving certificate and be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Mature Student Level - candidates must be 23 years of age and have previous employment experience.

Qualifications
Upon successful completion of the course participants will be conferred by the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII) with their internationally recognised Diploma in Public Relations and be entitled to use the acknowledgement 'DipPR' in recognition of their professionally achieved status. In addition, you will be entitled to apply for professional membership of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland.
Each candidate accepted for the course automatically becomes a student member of the European Institute of Communications (EIC) and of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII), which provides candidates with full access to the activities and resources of both the PRII and EIC. Furthermore, each successful candidate will also be conferred with the European Institute of Communications' own academic accolade, will automatically be awarded professional membership status, and be eligible to use the letters 'MEIC' after their name.
