Practical Skills Workshop

Workshop Overview:
This practical workshop has been designed for those candidates who have found themselves in a position where they must make formal professional presentations as well as those preparing to speak at a conference or seminar. Candidates may include sales & marketing personnel, management and / or individuals that wish to improve their own presentation techniques.
 A maximum of 6 candidates will be accepted onto each programme to ensure that each participant will be able to maximise their involvement for optimum results. The course facilitator has in excess of two decades experience as a practicing industry award winning PR consultant with former directorships of two major charities in Ireland. 

Workshop Content:
a.     Preparation - planning your presentation
b.     Working with words - how to manipulate the English language
c.     Use of notes and memory aids
d.     Body language - non verbal communication
e.     Inspiring your audience - engaging and involving audience participation
f.      Using visual aids - audience stimulation using PowerPoint/Slides etc
g.     Managing questions - how to anticipate and prepare for questions

Who Should Attend?
This course has been designed for participants who wish to enhance their participants' professional communication skills to enable them to make confident, effective, persuasive and engaging presentations to large or small groups.

He is also Director of Education at the European Institute of Communications, Ireland’s leading PR facilitators of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland’s (PRII) national PR academic programme delivered at Post Graduate and Diploma level. He is a Fellow of the PRII, a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR – UK), a member of the Confederation of European Public Relations Practitioners (MCERP – Europe), a member of the Association of Event Management Educators (Founder Member FAEME – International).
