Europe – its Culture and History; History of the European Union (1945 to present); Political Structure of the EU; European Integration; History of EU Treaties; Main Treaty Provisions; Ireland and the EU Treaties; Law making in the EU; The European Commission; The European Court of Justice; The European Parliament; The European Council; The role of other smaller EU Institutions; EU policies – The Single Market, Regional Policy, Common Agricultural Policy, Monetary Union, Justice, External Relations.

​Overview of Lobbying and Public Affairs in the EU; Transparency and Ethics; Tools and Techniques for engaging with the EU Institutions – Legislative monitoring, Business Intelligence, Strategy, Networking, Coalitions, Lobbying, Communication with the EU Institutions; Using Digital Communications in EU Lobbying; EU Public Procurement and Tendering and its role in EU Public Affairs; Overview of the European Media; Lobbying in an Irish context & provisions of the Regulation Act 2015.
