About US - Results


The European Institute of Communications strives to support their students to obtain the highest academic results and maximise their professional and vocational experience.

For example, the following results are based on the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII) Diploma in PR examinations (DipPR) and incorporates all national courses and results including post-graduate, full-time and part-time courses.

  • In the 2016 national examinations the European Institute had for the 7th time finished with the top student, Sinead Murphy, in the PRII Diploma in Public Relations. This is in addition to the top 10 students in the country.
  • In the 2015 national examinations the European Institute had for the 6th time finished with the top student, Dr Majella Munro, in the PRII Diploma in Public Relations. This is in addition to the top 12 students in the country.
  • In the 2014 national examinations the European Institute had for the 5th time finished with the top student, Georgina Heffernan (Dragons Den supported Magpie Magazine) , in the PRII Diploma in Public Relations. This is in addition to the top 15 students in the country.
  • In the 2013 national examinations the European Institute had for the 4th time finished with the top student, Mary Anne Kenny, in the PRII Diploma in Public Relations. This is in addition to the top 7 students in the country.
  • In the 2012 national examinations the European Institute had for the 3rd time finished with the top student, Eamon Timmins (Age Action), in the PRII Diploma in Public Relations. This was in addition to the top 10 students in the country.
  • In the 2008 national examinations the European Institute had for the 2nd time in three years finished with the top student, Debbie Hutchinson, in the PRII Diploma in Public Relations.
  • In 2007 students of the European Institute in the PRII Diploma in Public Relations national examinations returned the highest percentage of first and second class honours.
  • In 2006 two of the European Institute students, Ann Delaney and Sinead nic Oireachtaigh, from the PRII Diploma in Public Relations course came joint first in Ireland with a third student from the European Institute, Caroline Quigley, finishing third. This was a 1, 2, 3 for the European Institute of Communications.
