I chose the Digital Marketing and Social Media course with European Institute of Communications because of their track record in PR, Events Management and Journalism. I knew the course would be taught by a current Digital Marketing professional with great contacts and experience. I needed the very best and most current industry knowledge and I got that in spades. Not only that, but many of the case studies were brimming with creativity and spanned different industries to keep the class interested. 
I am now confident enough to offer my DM qualifications and know-how to small Irish businesses in the retail and food industry. There was huge focus on an effective DM strategy using all the latest tools. I was living and breathing Snapchat, Linkedin, Facebook, Youtube by the end of the course! Very enjoyable and extremely worthwhile.

As someone who regularly works late and unsociable hours, I found the long-distance PR diploma absolutely perfect for me. I was able to download lectures the morning after they had taken place and catch up easily with what was being taught. I found the lecturers to be passionate and engaging, while Eugene was always available to take a call and offer advice or reassurance. This course was a great introduction to Digital Marketing and Social Media. While being in-depth, and intensive, the course notes were detailed and comprehensive to follow. I would highly recommend this course if you are ready to embark on a career in Digital Marketing or want to up-skill from more traditional marketing methods. I am absolutely delighted I completed the Diploma in Public Relations and have now graduated!  I wanted to up-skill and add to my educational achievements but I could not find a suitable course as I was not only working full-time but also working shift work.  I began researching suitable courses in Public Relations and found the Diploma in Public Relations at the European Institute of Communications.  The course was ideal for me as it was both part-time AND long distance meaning that I could continue to work full-time whilst also completing lectures and course work in accordance with my unusual working hours.  It really was a win-win situation and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to educate themselves whilst coping with the demands of full-time employment. 
I not only learned about Public Relations but gained practical, hands on experience.  Most importantly, we had several guest lecturers which not only allowed students to engage with a series of professionals but also ensured lectures were fresh and engaging.

As somebody who is responsible for developing my company’s increased online presence, this course was a great introduction into digital marketing. We covered a wide variety of topics from social media and search engine marketing, to discussing the platforms we will likely be using over the coming years. The notes and lectures were excellent and up to date with many references to how companies use digital marketing effectively. This programme has provided me with a clear set of tools to develop and implement a digital marketing strategy for my company. As a married father of three young children with a full time job and living in Co. Kerry I was thrilled to find the European Institute of Communications (EIC). This is the only institution in Ireland, that could enable me to study the PRII accredited Diploma in Public Relations, from the comfort of my own home. From the outset Eugene Grey of the EIC, gentleman and scholar may I add, went beyond the call of duty.

One would think that it is difficult to build strong, engaging and effective relationships with your class and lecturers whilst participating in a course through distance learning, but for me, this was not the case. At every stage of my PR course I felt as if I was sitting in the front row of the class, when in reality I was at home in Kerry, wearing some dodgy pj’s, on my laptop with some comfort food in one hand and my daughters ‘Dora the Explorer’ pen in the other. This is credit to the systems in place and the skills of the lecturers at the EIC.

It would take ages for me to describe how it all works, but in short, it does. I achieved my goal by graduating with a diploma in PR and this was only possible by studying with the European Institute of Communications. Distance learning through the European Institute was the only option, for what I wanted to do, and to be very honest, what other option would I have wanted or needed. They are the best, end of.

Without hesitation, I would recommend the European Institute and for once I made a good choice. Being in the middle of exams it amazes me that Eugene takes the effort to talk with all his students before they go into the exam hall (I didn’t see any of the other tutors from Rathmines or other institutes in attendance). To put it into context, I've studied in University in Scotland, the University of Ulster, the Open University and other smaller institutes, yet none had as much interest in me completely the course successfully than EIC with a good grade. Failure is not an option ha ha!

The online and social media element of coursework is extensive, up-to-date and relevant. The importance of the convergence of online media and public relations cannot be understated. Tutors provided applicable case studies of how online media can be maximised, and provided in-depth knowledge to plan, take advantage of the appropriate tools to put campaigns into action and drive business performance. Online and social media content is spread amongst key modules which as a result gives an overall appreciation of the importance of online media trends in the public relations and marketing.

I would highly recommend the European Institute of Communications for a number of reasons, in particular for their expertise in the public relations industry; professionalism in providing a high-end quality educational service; excellent tutor support provided at all times; above all, their great enthusiasm and drive to help keep you motivated and engaged throughout the course.

I would recommend the European Institute 120%. The passion and commitment displayed by Eugene and fellow lectures went beyond any boundaries of normal expectation. They go that extra mile and dedicate whatever time it takes to give their students the best possible understanding of the subject. I thought I had a grasp on social media, but the course covers it in a very macro way focusing on its use in the PR world from a strategic viewpoint. This has helped my confidence in this area as I now find myself very knowledgeable in discussing the strategic uses of social media when evaluating its channels and their potential value with clients.

The revision sessions were a massive benefit and a bonus in terms of getting an exam focus going and refreshing our knowledge of all we have learned. As stated before, the European Institute went far beyond the normal call of duty in giving students support and assistance. The extra curricular tutoring combined with the hours of correcting any class work submitted was undoubtedly a huge commitment on the part of the lecturers, one which they never shirked at any time.

The course exceeded my expectations and was very worthwhile from a personal and professional point of view. I would highly recommend the European Institute. The lecturers go that extra mile to assist and review and comment on any work provided. This is essential for tracking your progress but all to prepare for exams. The USP of the Institute is the personal touch.

Eugene Grey as course director is available to students to discuss any issues and assist where he can and lecturers encourage debate of the topics while still getting the main points covered. It is often the debate which sticks in your mind and can assist with exams.

I would recommend the European Institute because the courses it offers are well prepared. Lecturers of the European Institute are knowledgeable, helpful and reliable. Main USPs of the European Institute are small groups, individual support offered to students, time committed to exam preparations, friendly atmosphere, small size and organic structure, commitment to excellence, student oriented approach, use of information technology (streamed lectures, intranet, projectors, cameras, etc.) and city centre location.

Course notes supplied throughout the academic year were very detailed, professional and extremely helpful. Revision sessions were important, especially preparation for presentation exam and tips in relation to case studies applicable for many different themes and modules were very helpful. I feel that the European Institute did everything it could in preparing for the examinations.

Most definitely I would recommend the EIC – they are so professional and thorough and teach in the most friendly manner that the lectures are really enjoyable. You would never miss the time going by. The lecturers thought and attention to detail, their constant help and support – I just couldn’t say enough about the EIC.

There’s a healthy emphasis on behaviour for those who wouldn’t already know to be mindful of the things they say online, behaviour around clients etc (i.e. the No Experience Required episode with focus on neat dress and moderate drinking while clearly not a syllabus must was something that showed a wholistic approach by the college!)
